ESAF Foundation honoured outstanding farmer producer organisations driving rural livelihoods and collective enterprise across India.
ESAF Foundation, through the Bharat Centre of Excellence for Collective Enterprises (BCECE), recognised outstanding farmer producer organisations (FPOs) for their contributions to strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting collective enterprise.
The awards were presented as part of ESAF Foundation’s continued efforts to support farmer-led institutions that play a critical role in building inclusive and sustainable economic growth. The Bharat Centre of Excellence for Collective Enterprises (BCECE) was established to support Farmer Producer Organisations, Farmer Producer Companies, and Cooperatives in enhancing their corporate structures and business efficiency.
This year’s awards received 82 applications from 17 states, reflecting the growing momentum of the collective enterprise movement across the country. The winners were selected following a rigorous evaluation process. The 2025 awardees are:

Best Collective Award: Manyam Sahaja Producer Company Limited

First Runner-Up: Veerapandy Kalanjia Jeevidam Producer Company Limited

Second Runner-Up: Pragatimitra North Kanara Farmers Producer Company Limited

Special Jury Award – Emerging Collective: Sheik UI Alam Farmer Producer Organization Cooperative Ltd
In a statement, ESAF Foundation said the awards recognise the efforts of collective enterprises that have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and sustained impact in their operations.
The Bharat Centre of Excellence for Collective Enterprises stated that it remains committed to strengthening the collective ecosystem through deeper engagement with grassroots institutions and enabling support mechanisms for scaling their impact.
The awards underscore the significance of producer collectives in shaping equitable development pathways and advancing the agenda of rural economic transformation.
