Education, Child & Youth Development
Equipping young individuals with knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead
Nurturing learning and leadership from childhood through adolescence shapes long-term wellbeing, confidence and social participation. ESAF Foundation partners with schools, families and community institutions to build systems that support learning, emotional literacy and leadership. Our programmes focus on children and young people from marginalised communities, including girls, tribal groups and those with disabilities. We work to ensure equitable access to safe spaces, quality education and opportunities for expression.

What We Do
Our programmes strengthen children’s wellbeing, learning, and leadership through community-led, inclusive development platforms.
Facilitate child-led learning clubs
Balajyothi Clubs offer safe, regular spaces for rural children to build life skills through weekly activities on rights, environment, and community issues.
Promote inclusion through practice
Clubs for differently-abled and tribal children support confidence and wellbeing through adapted sports, peer interaction, and creative expression.
Develop skills through sports and the arts
Structured sports coaching, workshops, and camps support children and young people to cultivate skills, practise team work, and grow as peer leaders.
Foster civic responsibility
Children participate in campaigns ranging from waste collection to awareness drives, building civic values and deepening neighbourhood ties.
Expand access to reading resources
Children’s libraries improve access to books and support language and academic development.

From the Field
What Happens When Children Are Trusted with Responsibility
Balajyothi clubs nurture leadership, creativity, and civic action among children in rural and tribal communities.
Support Our Work
Every confident voice, bold idea, and act of leadership starts with a child who had the chance to learn. Let’s make that chance universal.
